Jason Stumpf was born in Tennessee. He is the translator of Pura Lopez-Colome's Aurora and Luis Felipe Fabre's The moon ain't nothing but a broken dish. He teaches English and Art History at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts.
