Charles Zerby has had two chapbooks of poetry published -- Opening Arguments and Sam Hose’s Knuckles: Lynching Poems, published by Swamp Press in early 2003. He has had poems in New England Rural Magazine, Sierra Nevada College Review and other small journals. His book, The Devil’s Details: A History of Footnotes, is out in paperback by Simon & Schuster. A former columnist for the Amherst Record and former dean of campus and director of admissions at Goddard College, Zerby lived for many years in Hadley, Massachusetts, where he passed away in March 2003.
